A Dude's Guide to Baby Size: What to Expect and How to Prep for Dads-to-Be

I got this for my nephew who is on his journey to be a first time dad. I always knew I’d get this for him when they decided to have kids. It’s the perfect accompaniment to the mother’s guide!

I purchased this book a while back, intending to give it to the first grandchild expecting a baby. I want to read it first before giving it however I hadn’t gotten it read yet when I got the news I was going to be a great grandma! Of course I gave it to him as soon as I got the news! I purchased a second book so I could follow along with their progress. I am enjoying this book. Taylor has a way with words. He writes the way he talks, like an experienced Dude Dad!

Whether expecting your first (or eighth-for our family) this book gives a great run down what’s going on presently, & gives tips for the future. I looked forward to reading a chapter every Sunday evening before the work week, & finding out what our baby’s size compared to. As Mary Poppins would say, “It’s Supercaliphragelisticexbealidotious!”

Great new dad gift!

I have personally read through this book twice. Once for each of my children, and I've gained something different each time I've read it. Now, each time one of my friends has announced they're expecting their first child, I gift them this book. I just gave it to my third friend, and have gotten great feedback each time.

I love the unique idea of comparing pregnancy growth to "man" stuff. Each week is fun to read w/great advice even for the second baby. Strong work Taylor! But...we need "JUST ONE MORE BOOK"!

I have been waiting a long time to send this book to some dear friends. Their baby could not be more wanted and more loved already. I’m excited for them to follow along in Taylor’s book. I think the book will offer great information and plenty of laughs as they await the arrival of this very, very, very, welcome little one. I imagine the dude dad family will soon have two new subscribers.

I purchased this for my son who's wife is expecting their first baby in 2024. He is not normally a reader but I knew he would enjoy this book. It doesn't read like a novel & he can use it as a reference. He received it today & is totally enjoying it.

The comparisons of unborn babies to fruits and vegetables to describe their size were always weird. I like the comparisons to other objects Taylor used instead. I have not finished the book yet, but I am really enjoying it so far. Taylor shares a lot of advice and personal insight that I really appreciate. Even though I’m on my second kid with my wife, I have been learning a lot. I bought two copies, one for me, and one for a buddy. Hopefully friends start having kids soon, and I can share my extra copy with them too.

Read most of the book before I gave it to my husband. Entertaining read that I think he'll actually read!

This has been such a great gift to give my friends who are soon to be dads. Too many times dudes are left out when it comes to the excitement of waiting for your baby to be born. This changes that. It’s a great book to build dudes up and get dudes talking about the excitement to come!

As a first time Dad, the questions and worries that cross my mind are never ending. Taylor does such a fantastic job of explaining what to expect and how to work around all these new changes. He makes it easy to understand how your life is going to change but at the same time reminding you that your life is going to be so much more rewarding now. I have learned that you can solve so many stressful situations by just taking a breath and remembering you're still learning and won't fail if you just try your best. I highly recommend this book to new Dads or guys that are thinking about starting a family. This book explains all your concerns and answers most of your questions in ways that are familiar to most guys!
